Dear The Real Singapore,

I am a volunteer at Sree Narayana mission home at Yishun and I would like to complain that I am really shocked by the standard of hygiene in this mission home.

These elder people are already very old and their immune system is already very weak how can they serve food with dead insects inside it. The plates and cups have like algae and black stains growing on them as well.

Doesn't Singapore require a basic standard of hygiene for food? I am pretty sure a hawker centre practices even better hygeiene than this Mission Home. Why isn't NEA doing checks on these Mission Homes as well? These old people need to enjoy good quality food and hygiene as well.

We are a first world country not a 3rd world developing country.

My main purpose of sharing these photos is not to get the mission home into trouble but it is because I have already feedback many times to them and yet they did not do anything about it.

Are they waiting for elderly patients to die of food poisoning before they will do something about it?

I have visited Singapore Zoo many times and I believe the food bowls of the animals are cleaner than this and the zookeepers scrub it everyday.

Do check out who are the sponsors of this mission home, they are actually government organizations!

Sree Narayana Mission (Singapore) is supported by
Ministry of Health
National Council of Social Service
Ministry of Social & Family Development

Please see the photo below and tell me what you think about it:
