Dear The Real Singapore,
It seems Singaporeans have again shown their ugly side during this Charity drive for breast cancer.
The event itself was an attempt for a Guinness World Record for the most pizzas made in 12 hours. The event was also coupled as a donation drive for breast cancer with breast cancer awareness posters and a large donation box on site.
People were invited to come down and watch the team attempt to break the record for the most pizzas made. They were also allowed to take the pizzas which were made for free.
The prominent donation box with all the donations clearly visible was right next to the stack of FREE PIZZAS. Yet, many just took the boxes of 12" pizzas.... some even asked for 2 or 3 WITHOUT attempting even the smallest donation. Just take the free pizza ....don't care at all about the charity it was going to.
The donation box said "Donate any amount and get a 12-inch star pizza" it seems that Singaporeans treated "any" amount to be "nothing".
To make matters worse, the major culprits were 'Women'. Shouldn't they be more passionate and understanding about the cause of Breast Cancer?
Im a Singaporean.....and I was so embarrassed by what I saw.
