Hi TRS,
I would like to bring up a matter regarding NEA officers choosing their targets to fine. I was smoking a cigarette outside MBS and i dumped my butt in the grass after i was done. A NEA officer identified himself to me and issued me a fine. I accept that as I made a mistake.
But after getting fined, I looked around and realized many other people were also smoking. (Mainly foreign expats) Instinctively, i just knew i had to stay behind to see. True enough, the expats walked off one by one and I see all our fellow Singaporeans getting picked. I approached the officer and question him, he said because they're not local they cannot be fined. How is that fair? Does that mean foreigners can commit crimes without having to answer for their actions?
