MINDEF Spends $25k of Your Money to Teach English to One PRC Military Officer

UPDATE: 

MINDEF awarded a tender worth $25,000 to local English language education provider Language Works to provide English language course for only 1 military officer from PRC's People's Liberation Army.

However a check from Language Works price list for its English language 1 to 1 course found that even if the officer go through all the individual English language courses in the institute, the total fees payable will add up only less than $14,000.

So the remaining $11,000 worth of taxpayer's monies went into whose pocket?

For those who have served National Service before, we do know that sometimes, Brunei and Thailand army people come and train together with Singapore citizens as part of their curriculum.

And we do know that Singapore army has military ties with Israel and Taiwan (ROC Republic of China) but because of the sensitivity and risk of offending Malays and PRC, we are flying low radar to keep it secret.

Recently, a GeBiz tender listed some descriptions which would offend any Singapore male who spent 2 years of his life defending his country.

It describes a tender as offering language courses for just one military officer. The awarded value was worth $25,000 of taxpayers money and went to Language Works (Click on http://www.languageworks.com.sg/about_us.html)

Upon clicking the tender, it described that it was for one PLA officer (PLA stands for People's Liberation Army in PRC China).

Singapore PAP has tried to justify its stand by ISA Operation Coldstore and Operation Spectrum and refusing to apologise. Recently, it has banned Tan Pin Pin's documentary To Singapore With Love as a threat to national security and liking political opponents as communists/ terrorists.
