Dear TRS,
On 14 Apr 2015 - This inconsiderate driver from UNIVERSE enviro did not properly secure the items in his Mitsubishi truck (YM2778L), resulting in a large piece of cardboard flying out and hitting my car.
This incident could have caused other road users, especially motorcyclists, to lose control and be hit by another vehicle. On the expressway, this is a serious and potentially life threatening issue!
How can such trucks be so irresponsible and fail to secure the items that they are carrying on the expressway?
A quick web search of 'UNIVERSE enviro' links to a company called "Universe Enviro & Engineering Pte Ltd" which specializes in portable toilets and waste disposal services. They claimed to be a "licensed Class C Waste Collector" under NEA, and awarded "bizSAFE" by the Workplace Safety and Health Council.
Apparently the large cardboard wasn't the only thing that flew out from the truck. Plastic sheets as well as many other stuff also flew out. Is UNIVERSE enviro really a GREEN and SAFE company that cares for the environment and the safety of road users? If so, why the unprofessionalism in their transportation of waste?
Would the relevant authorities (Traffic Police and NEA) kindly take sterner action against companies that continue to dangerously transport materials and waste without adhering to TP and NEA regulations.
A Concerned Road User
