Dear TRS, are you suppose to ask your maid to paint your entire house?

Dear The Real Singapore,

I do not have a maid in Singapore but I find the jobs my neighbour is asking his maid to do as very tiring and I feel like it is out of their job scope. I see that the maid despite cooking and doing housework she has to paint the entire walls of the house as well as picking up children from school.

Are maid allowed to do so many things? Sometimes I even see the maid giving massages to their owners. I feel like this kind of jobs is very demeaning to a maid and they should not do such extra task given by the family.

When I ask the owners if they are allowed to make their maid do so many things they scolded me and ask me to mind my own business. They are a very rich family but I feel like they treat their maid so bad, I also feel very sad seeing this.

Refer to the photograph I have taken at burgundy creson bt batok. The maid is a domestic worker from Indonesia, no proper equipment is also being given to the maid when she is painting the house. Can any of your readers tell me if asking the maid to pick up kids from school, paint the house as well as giving massages to their owners is legal? I would want to complain to the relevant agencies if it is not allowed.
