Dear The Real Singapore,
I had witnessed a dispute between two men at around 11pm just yesterday.
A group of soccer fans gathered around Mcdonald's JE to watch a match. Suddenly there was an uproar between two men. Apparently a caucasian man scolded the referee, while a chinese man retaliated by hurling all sorts of expletives at him, including racist and insensitive remarks.
After the saga, the caucasian man was about to leave when the chinese man challenged him to a fight, alleging that he was guilty of assault as he wanted to punch him in the face. The caucasian man didn't want any trouble and left, but the latter continued to follow him and even called the police.
Later, at a void deck under a nearby block, the caucasian man confronted the chinese man, saying that he was stalking him, and asked him to stop. But the chinese man persistently tried to provoke him by intimidating him.
Such uncouth and gangstrous behaviour is unacceptable and should not be tolerated. It was a trivial matter and an apology from both parties would have quickly resolved the dispute.
Why continue to accelerate the problem?
